Operations Manager – Cessnock

About the role
As the Operations Manager at Rover Motors, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient and effective operations of our bus services in Cessnock, NSW. This full-time position will see you manage a team of professionals to ensure our transport operations run smoothly and meet the needs of our customers.

What you’ll be doing

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our bus services, including scheduling, fleet management, and driver supervision
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction
  • Manage and motivate a team of bus drivers, and other operational staff
  • Analyse operational data and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations and safety standards
  • Contribute to the overall business strategy and decision-making process
  • Ensure all shifts, charters and any changes are entered into the Shift & Rosters System in a timely manner
  • Management of Charters with enquiries, bookings and service delivery 

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in a similar operations management role, preferably within the transport or logistics industry
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Thorough understanding of transport regulations and safety standards
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as business, logistics, or transport management
  • MR, HR licence (Preferred)
