Concessional Fares are offered to some categories of passengers and the holders of certain concession cards.

NSW Blinded Soldier’s Pass Transport for NSW Concessions Office Free Travel for Australian and New Zealand War Veterans classified by Department of Veterans Affairs (including attendant where endorsed on pass).
Ex-Member of Defence Forces Transport for NSW Concessions Office Free Travel (including attendant where endorsed on Transport Concession Entitlement Card).
Vision Impaired Persons Pass (NSW and Interstate) Transport for NSW Concessions Office and equivalent transport agency in other States and Territories Free Travel including guide dog. Attendant Travels Free when endorsed on pass.
Companion Card Department of Family and Community Services and equivalent agencies in other States and Territories Free Travel for Attendant.
Assistance Animal Permit Transport for NSW Concessions Office Assistance Animal Travels for Free. NSW Permit essential for everyone except those using an accredited Guide Dog or Hearing Dog.

Half Fare Concession (Ages 16 and over)

Student Bus Pass Any accredited bus operator For journeys other than to and from school, half fare is payable.
NSW Tertiary Student Transport for NSW Concessions Office  Eligible tertiary students are entitled to concession fares with a Transport Concession Entitlement Card. Eligibility is determined in accordance with the NSW Tertiary Student Concession Guidelines set by Transport for NSW.
NSW Senior Secondary Card Transport for NSW Concessions Office Card must have a NSW Concession printed image or foil. A school student identification card issued by a school, or a Home School certificate issued by the Board of Studies, cannot be used in lieu of a transport concession card.
Transport Concession Entitlement Card for Apprentice or Trainees Transport for NSW Concessions Office Card is valid up to 31 March of each year, and can be renewed free of charge as long as Apprentice/Trainee remains in an active traineeship/apprenticeship approved by Training Services NSW.

Half Fare (Ages 4 - 15 inclusive)

** No proof of entitlement required however following passes may be used to verify age**
NSW Proof of Age Card - Transport  Transport for NSW Concessions Office Card will show the expiry date of entitlement. This card cannot be used for non-transport purposes.
